Guest House and Relax Bar
Conveniently
located in the heart of Kai Bae village on Koh Chang island
in eastern Thailand, not far from the Cambodian border. Approximately
a 5 hour bus journey from Bangkok. Or a 40 minute flight from
Bangkok to the nearest mainland town, Trat, plus a short minibus
journey to the car ferry which can take less than 30 minutes
to reach Koh Chang.
Just next door is a pharmacy and a 7-eleven convenience store
is 2 doors away which is open 24/7. There are a wide range
of good restaurants to choose from including Thai food, French
food, English food, Japanese food, Italian food, Swedish food,
Mexican food, German food and seafood. All within easy walking
distance.
The beach is across the street and can be reached within a
few minutes walk.
There
are a few ATMs nearby plus a Western Union and a Thai bank
with money changing facilities. There are also internet shops,
tailor shops, gift shops, beauty salons, massage shops, a
few bar beers and some bars with live music within easy walking
distance. There are a couple of small shopping plazas with
snack bars, restaurants, bookshops, bar beers and a disco.
Some shops provide car or motorbike rentals. Koh Chang is
a wonderful island with a huge rainforest. Its possible to
visit waterfalls, rock pools, ride elephants, go trekking
or visit other beaches and villages.
Boat
trips are very popular around Koh Chang since there are many
islands to visit nearby. You can go snorkeling or fishing
and visit some of the islands for a day or you can stop over
for a few nights. On the smaller islands that have resorts
mostly they are small beach bungalows with a bar and restaurant.
There are some trees, a clean, white, sandy beach and crystal
clear water.

of our 6 guest rooms has a double bed, refrigerator, air-conditioning.
fan, wardrobe, personal electronic safe and a 21 inch colour
TV showing cable TV channels, including Thai channels, BBC
world, RAI, TV5, DW TV and 24 hour movie channels in both
English language and Thai language. Every room has a private
bathroom with a hot water shower, wash basin and western style
flushing toilet.
Cleanliness
is important to us. Our rooms are cleaned daily and fresh
towels, sheets and pillow cases are given everyday. We use
cotton duvets that are machine washable and every few months
we air the mattresses in the garden under the sun.
Relax
bar
Next to the guest house is the Relax Bar. We offer a good
selection of music and music videos, a couple of large TVs
showing football, formula 1, pool, tennis, golf or rugby aswell
as the occasional movie. There is a pool table, chess, connect
4 and scrabble games to play. Cocktails, beers, spirits, soft
drinks, shakes and bar snacks are available. There is also
a small roof terrace with good views.
