The most frequently visited places
Haad Sai Khao (White Sand Beach)
As the name implies, this is a long beach of powdery white sand. Haad Sai Khao is the busiest section of Koh Chang, the so-called minitowns are. Along the main road are various shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, tour operators and vehicle rentals.

Klong Prao Beach and Laem Chaiyachet
This is another long sandy beach that begins from the rocky Laem Chaiyachet or Chaiyachet Cape, which is an ideal site to watch the magnificent sunset of the sunrise above the southern hills of Bang Bao. Laem Chaiyachet is a favorite on-shore fishing ground. A fishing pier is created near the cape that is also a great viewpoint for the whole of Klong Prao Bay.

Kai Bae Beach
This is a beach of scenic beauty where you can see the sunset and several islands, some so close and tempting you feel like taking a canoe across.

Bang Bao Beach
The Beach at Bang Bao has clear waters with rocks and corals off its shores. A good place to fish, snorkel and swim. Getting to Bang Bao is a challenging task as the road from Kai Bae is steep and winding. Bang Bao is a fishing village of wooden house built above seawater. Here, wooden bridges link the houses. Klong Plu Waterfall
Klong Plu Waterfall is a large fall of 3 levels. It has been an important water source to the Koh Chang dwellers for a long time. Klong Plu derived its name from the Phu Pha Mek Sawan Moutain where King Chulalongkorn The Great (Rama V) used to rest.

Excursions
Boriwaen Yuthanavee (Naval Battle Ground)
The Naval Battle Ground is a historical site where the French and Thai naval forces fought during the height of the French colonization of Indochina. The battle of 17 January 1921 is remembered. During the battles the Royal Thai Navy's Ship. Thonburi was sunken. The Royal Thai Navy and the people of Trat hold memorial services from the 17th to 21st of January annually by floating garlands on to the sea in honor of those who perished during the battle. The site is located near Ao Salak Petch. The wreck is now a popular dive site.

Amphoe Laem Ngop
Is 17 kms. from the municipal town of Trat. It is the springboard to all the Island of the Koh Chang. All the three main piers servicing the Island are located in Laem Ngop. It is also an interesting place to shop for souvenirs, seafood and other local food product like the popular Trat shrimp-paste, dried shrimps, fish sauce and the Ngop (a headwear).

Koh Chang
Koh Chang Marine Natural Park occupies 52 islands in Trat province the most important of which is Koh Chang (Elephant Island). The Island is the gem of Eastern marine border of Thailand possessing 429 square meters as the second largest island of the country. Koh Chang is plenty of high mountains and cliffs. Abundant with tropical forest, which has water sources, it has many waterfalls. Moreover, it is highly reputed for its long sandy beaches where are untouched and continue to keep a tranquil charm waiting for all visitors. Along the western site, Klong Prao beach, where Ramayana Koh Chang Resort nestled, owns the best long sandy beach. It is the ideal site to witness the magnificent sunset and enjoy the diversity of marine activities. The trip can be made all year while the best season to visit the island is between October – May.
