Follow the footpath past Salakphet Seafood and you will shortly come to a very open plan general store with blue and white walls. Behind this is the Sang Arun home stay. Head inside and you'll reach a large concrete deck looking out to the bay and a personal pier lined on one side with adjoined concrete rooms. These are small but clean, with semi-porn snaps on the wall -- certainly by Thai standards, anyway. Beds are rock hard but covered in clean linen, all with air-con and a private closet-sized bathroom featuring cold shower and bucket flush toilet. There are double, triple and quad rooms, with the latter having hot water shower. The family who runs this place are active fishermen, so you can easily organise a fishing trip or snorkelling trip as they have their own boats. They also have an abundance of fresh seafood available via their small restaurant. You do get the feeling however that this place is primarily geared up for Thai tourists, and the staff struggle to speak anything but the most basic of English.
