Sawang
Homestay is a genuine opportunity to stay with a friendly
family, sleeping on the polished wooden floor of their enormous
house. This is a real Thai experience, with a fishing family
who live on the edge of the bay. They primarily cater to groups,
so its ideal if you're coming with a bunch of friends and
want to enjoy the communal camping atmosphere. Single travellers
are also catered for as there is one small room annexed to
the main one. Their large wooden deck looks out to sea and
they serve local food, tea and coffee. This is not an ideal
for people who need their privacy or want activities laid
on, but if you want a unique encounter then look no further.
Uncle Wang is the owner and he does have a boat available
if you fancy a trip round the local reefs.
