Bubble Maker

Seal Team
Fifteen exciting aqua missions waiting for young explorers from 8 years. After five aqua missions you become a proud member of The Seal Team.

Is the first certification with PADI, kids can get!!! Before they could have done the Bubble Maker, but it is not necessary. The Seal Team is made to show kids how much fun they can have under water, while they learn in an easy way how to use the scuba equipment in a professional way. You can choose between 1 day up to 5 days. Each day starts with a little bit of theory and then they jump into the water and do a few skills then they play around!! Everyday is different and ads to the day before.

Scuba Diver
You want to become a diver but you have not enough time to make a whole diving course? Take the first step on your way into the underwater world.

The scuba diver course takes 2 days and is designed for those wishing to learn to dive but do not have enough time to complete the PADI-open-water-course. On day 1you will do the academics and pool training sessions with a PADI instructor. Day 2 will be 2 Dives in the open tropical water around Koh Chang. This course certifies you as an internationally recognized PADI Scuba Diver. When You have time in the near future, then You can continue the theory and dives 3 and 4 to get the Open Water Diver Certification.

Open Water Diver

This course takes 3 to 4 days and is the first full certification on the PADI ladder. The first day You spend in the classroom, after watching the PADI OW- videos and do some theory You go to the swimming pool or a similar environment to learning the essential skills needed for diving. The following 2 days You do 4 Dives in the tropical waters around Koh Chang. After the 4 dives You will be awarded with the internationally recognized PADI Open water Diver Certification that allows You to dive independently.

Advanced Open Water
Specialise your diving skills - Learn how to navigate perfectly, find out what is different when you dive deeper and take part in 3 different specialities of your choice.

This course takes 2 days and includes 5 dives of which 1 dive is the deep dive (maximum depth is 30 meter/90 ft) and 1 dive is the underwater navigation dive. The remaining 3 specialties can be chosen by Yourself as far as the conditions and possibilities allow. At the end of this course you will receive the internationally recognized Advanced Open Water Diver Certification which allows you to dive a maximum depth to 40 meters. Each dive of this course also counts as dive 1 of any specialty course should you wish to do for specialty diving courses in the future.

Emergency First Response
This course teaches basic First Aid, CPR and the use of defibrillators for patient resuscitation. Learn the right things to do in case of an emergency.

The Emergency First Response course is a 1 day course including academics and student participation. It is also a pre/requisite to the Rescue Diver course and is also open to non-divers. This course teaches basic First Aid, CPR and the use of defibrillators for patient resuscitation.

Rescue Diver
An excellent course for all wishing to take their diving skills to greater heights. Feel much more confident as soon as you know how to help others.

By far the most demanding but rated by students in surveys as the most fun and the most rewarding course. This is a 3 to 5 day course with day 1 in the classroom where you will learn to organize, search, recover and rescue divers in the unlikely event of a dive accident. The second day will be spent in the pool or shallow water of the Beach where you will learn the practical skills needed for the course. The final afternoon, you will participate in 2 staged rescue scenarios putting together all that you have learnt over that last days. This is an excellent course for those wishing to take their diving skills to greater heights.

Your entrance to the professional level. Gather more experience and you will see diving from a professional point of view.

This 6 – 8 week course is the first stage for anyone wishing to make a career in diving and be a (PADI PRO) the candidate will work on an internship basis with chang diving, obtaining free diving whilst learning about dive leading and training, assisting instructors and waterman ship amongst many other skills required to be a DM. Candidates must have their own equipment for this course and be in good physical health. Certification as a DM entitles you to become a PADI Member and have access to its benefits & privileges.

This course is designed to qualify recreational divers to use enriched air (“nitrox”) for no stop recreational diving. The program addresses the use of enriched air with 22 percent to 40 percent oxygen.
We do fill NITROX directly in our Divecenter, you can look and learn how to Check your NITROX Tank with our help! That allowes you a longer Divetime!

Deep Diver Course
This course is designed to be an introduction to deep diving and to help divers develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities.

AWARE - CoralReef Conservation
Specialty Course

The AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course teaches divers, snorkelers and nondivers about the vital role coral reefs play in the marine environment and how these ecosystems are currently threatened. The course familiarizes participants with the current state of the world's coral reefs and explains how individuals can help protect the living reef from further decline.

To enroll in the AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course, you need only to have an interest in the aquatic world.

There is no minimum age or experience requirement.

Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Course
This course is a two-part introduction to digital underwater photography centered on point-and-shoot digital cameras. Level One and Level Two – or conducted as a continuous course resulting in a Level Two certification. The course helps scuba divers and snorkelers develop the knowledge, skills and practical techniques necessary to obtain excellent photographs with a digital camera, even on their first photo dive.

Night Diver Course
This course is designed to be an introduction to night diving and to help the diver develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to safely participate in night-diving activities.
Underwater Navigator Course

This course is designed to be an introduction to underwater navigation and to help divers develop the skills and knowledge in compass handling, planning, procedures, techniques and on the basis of underwater environment.
Multilevel Diver Course

This course is designed to be an introduction to multilevel diving and to help the diver develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques. This allows a longer bottom time.

Peak Performance Buoyancy Course
The purpose of the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is to polish a diver’s buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. The goal of PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy training is to enhance the diver’s buoyancy control abilities through knowledge development and practical skills practice.

Search and Recovery Diver Course

What you can expect when you decide to go out with us …

After we picked you up, we will make you familiar with the scuba Equipment. As soon as we are on the Boat one of our professional crew will hold a Boat Briefing to make it comfortable for you.

After the Sailing to the first Site we go for a dive in small groups with a professional leader (our divetime is one hour or 50 bar) or you have more than one hour time for Snorkeling with an trained captain how take care for your safety.

Then it is time for Lunch. The Break is at least one hour. We serve you traditional Thai food, not to spicy (you can add chilli as you like it). During that we sail to the second Dive/Snorkel Site.

Again we go for a dive in small groups with a professional leader (our divetime is one hour or 50 bar) or you have more than one hour time for Snorkeling with an trained captain how take care for your safety.

On the way back to Koh Chang you can have a nap or enjoy the beautiful view. As you want we bring you back to your Hotel straight away or you can stay with us in the Diveschool for a DECOMPRESSION BEER and take a look for the photos we made on the trip. (Please let us know before, when you want to have a personal photo CD from your Adventure)

SNORKELING
Join a day trip with us and explore the beautiful and fascinating underwater world around Koh Chang from the surfface with your whole family. For insecured swimmers we have always lifejackets in every size on board. Safety is our primary request!
You can watch the divers on the same spot, maybe it's one of your friends or family. Your interest will be aroused in diving and we show you the underwater world from a completely new view during a DISCOVER SCUBA DIVE on the next day.

ABOUT DIVING
The plankton-enriched water affords a great diversity of marine life. Many colorful little reef-fish are the evidence. There are impressive reefs in the area with a variety of soft and hard corals.

Most dive sites are great Multi-level sites, from 5m to max. 16m - 18m depth. That allows you long dive times, dives up to 1 hour are not rare. Deep dive sites are rare around Koh Chang, but there are a few we can offer (like Pinnacles close to Koh Rang).

The water temperature is 28?C to 32?C therefore a thin Wetsuit/Shorty or Lycra is recommended, but not necessary. Visibility can reach 25m but is variable. Most of the time it is around 15m.

The best time to dive is between September to end of May. The rainy season can reduce visibility or make it difficult to reach the dive sites. However there are calmer periods during the low season when diving conditions are good.

Our main office is opposite Klong Prao Resort, next to the Honda Shop.

Our second office is opposite Cliff Beach Resort/Chang Park, in the 3&3 Avenue. Both are directly on the mainroad.
Otherwise you can just call us, or you ask for Scandinavian Chang Diving Center in any Booking office in your area.

Between these two offices we have another small shop in BIG ELK in Klong Prao, there is also out pool for the diving courses. BIG ELK is a restaurant where you can play pool billard and rent thaistyle bungalows.
