Guided
Diving
Koh
Chang and the National Marine Park
Certified
divers are in for a treat with our dive center…simple reason
being that we like diving as well!! This results in small
groups, interesting briefings, exciting underwater tours and
a day of diving like it should be. Our certified guides have
been on the island for many years and will show you all the
interesting marine life that Koh Chang and its neighbouring
islands have to offer.

We
are an extremely flexible team which offers you a highly personalised
service. You can have the choice of diving in the morning
or afternoon, from a luxury speedboat, or you can join us
on our daytrip boat and make it an all-day adventure.
Safer
and longer diving
Certified Enriched Air divers will receive free Nitrox tanks
for their diving with us. Just to give you that extra bit
of pleasure of longer and safer diving. If you do not have
an Enriched Air Diver license have a look here and see what
advantages diving with Nitrox can give you.

Diving
around Koh Chang and the National Marine Park offers something
for all levels of divers. Situated in the Gulf of Thailand,
our dive sites are relatively shallow and are teeming with
various fishes and other marine life. The vast majority of
the sites are coral reefs situated around small islands or
located in the open sea near granite pinnacles.
Discover
Scuba Diving
Your
introduction to diving
You’ve
always wanted to try diving, but do not want to enroll straight
away in a PADI Open Water Course then our Discover Scuba Diving
Program is just the thing you’re looking for.

This
program introduces you for the first time to the underwater
world in a safe and relaxed manner. The coral reefs around
Koh Chang are ideal for making introduction dives and for
learning how to dive, as we have mild to no currents, good
visibility, and nice warm water and there are plenty of wonderful
shallow sites where we can take you diving and where you will
see lots of beautiful tropical fish and magnificent corals.
Well
structured, safe and fun
We
at DivingScool offer you a program that fits your needs. To
start we take you along for a swimming pool session where
one of our multilingual instructors will give you a detailed
briefing about the diving equipment and about the techniques
used for diving. As this is a big step for you, we want you
to be as confident and relaxed as possible so you can enjoy
your open water dives to the fullest.

Now
is the time where the real fun part starts, your instructor
will get you in your equipment and systematically you will
take your first couple of breaths underwater.
Scuba
Review
Refresh
your passion
If
you haven’t been scuba diving for a long time, or you feel
that your scuba skills and knowledge are a little "rusty"
or you are a referral student wanting to obtain the Open Water
Diver Certification then you should take our DivingScool scuba
review program. So if you feel a bit uncertain or you need
a refresher before heading to the open water, do not hesitate
and give yourself that extra bit of confidence.

Rediscover
the thrill and the pleasure. After briefly reviewing the safety
information and the theoretical knowledge you learned during
your initial training; we will take you along for a pool session.
Here you will re-familiarise yourself with the equipment and
your instructor will have you redo the fundamental skills.
The
adventure continues
Once assured you’re ready for the sea again, we take you out
on the boat and visit some of the local dive areas around
Koh Chang where you will make two dives and relive the fun
and adventure that diving has to offer.

After
completing the Scuba Review, your instructor will make a note
in your logbook of your participation in this program. This
shows dive centers, resorts and dive boats that you have updated
your skills.
This
program can be completed in one day or you can spread it over
two days and could be the start from a new diving career.
Night
Diving
A
different underwater experience
Have you ever wondered what it is like to dive after sunset?
Enter a new world and watch it come to life! Dive into an
exciting, yet mysterious environment where you can see the
aquatic life and underwater surroundings in a new light.
Sightings of decorator crabs, cleaner shrimps, stingrays,
moray eels, squid, barracuda’s, nurse sharks, shrimp fish,
nudibranches, scorpion fish and lionfish are just a couple
of the exciting things you might find on these dives.

As
an experienced diver you will be glad to hear that after a
short 10 minute boat trip we can offer you a couple of amazing
sites for night diving and that these trips are organized
regularly in high season according to demand.
The
corals on most of the dive sites are in remarkable good condition
and offer some spectacular scenes for underwater photography
and they have something very special to show us after dark.
Have a look here to see nature giving us a light show!

But
also if you haven’t made a night dive before, you are more
than welcome to join us on this trip. We will team you up
with an instructor who will explain what you need to know
and what to do before taking on this exciting dive.
Snorkelling
Fun
for the entire family
When you’re not a diver and still want to see all the beauty
which lies beneath the surface, then join us on our daily
trips to various sites around Koh Chang and the National Marine
Park.
Family members from divers can join them and have a splash
and look around while they are diving and in most cases you
can even see them diving below when you are snorkelling.

Every
day we offer you different sites and we try to go where we
can escape the big crowds…after all it is more relaxed and
interesting to be in the water and observe the stunning corals
and schools of fishes without being packed on top of each
other. Most of the dive sites around the island are suited
for snorkeling because the entire area is quite shallow and
we do not have strong currents. So both people snorkelling
and diving can enjoy the same sites.
A
safe and fun way to look at the aquatic world
We
have dedicated guides who will assist you during the day.
At the dive centre, you will be given fins, mask and snorkel
so that you are well equipped to enjoy your day out. On the
boat we will give you a briefing before you go in the water.
You will receive information about the different kinds of
aquatic life, the water conditions and safety instructions.
Your guide will be with you showing you all the nice underwater
life and assisting you if necessary.

The
boat carries first aid kits, lifejackets and there is a freshwater
shower to rinse yourself after your adventure. Plenty of shade
on the boat prevents you from overheating but bringing your
sunscreen for protecting your skin is highly recommended.
The
snorkeling trips can be organized for half a day or for a
full day. Private boat rental is also a possibility if you
want to have a tailor-made cruise around the island.
Dive
Sites
Local
sites and the National Marine Park
Koh Chang is situated in the Gulf of Thailand and we are surrounded
by 51 other islands in the Koh Chang Archipelago. All across
the archipelago are numerous dive sites that will offer you
great diving experiences and ideal training sites.
Thanks
to the tropical warmth of the water, there is an abundance
of corals and fish. The corals on most of the dive sites are
in remarkable good condition and offer some spectacular scenes
for underwater photography and they have something very special
to show us after dark. Have a look here to see nature giving
us a light show!
The aquatic life around Koh Chang is abundant, ranging form
shrimps, flatworms, and pipefish all the way to the majestic
whale shark who visits us more and more the last couple of
years. Recently there have been sightings in August, September,
October and November.
The
entire Gulf is quite shallow and that is no exception in and
around Koh Chang, which means that you will have long bottom
times and that there is plenty of natural light to observe,
enjoy and photograph the marine life.
Something
for everyone to enjoy
Below
you will find an overview of most sites visited by us. Our
DivingScool Team is also looking for new dive sites, so why
not join us on one of our exploration dives and discover new
interesting places!!

This is a 2-day course designed especially for you wanting
to learn to dive, but due to time restrictions, are unable
to complete the PADI Open Water Course.

During
the first day you will receive academic and pool training
under the direct supervision of one of our multilingual instructors.
The theoretical part consists out of watching a DVD, covering
the basics of diving and the equipment being used. At the
dive center you have to complete three quick quizzes to test
your knowledge on the subject.
There
is also the opportunity to complete the theory online before
hand, which saves you time once you’re here to concentrate
on the really fun stuff, the diving itself.
Fun
on the boat and in the water
The second day we take the boat out and go for two dives in
the warm and beautiful waters of Koh Chang. While diving we
have plenty of time to look at all the wonderful and colorful
fishes and corals that grow and live here. To have an idea,
take a look at our gallery that contains images from the local
fauna and flora. On these dives you will repeat some of the
skills that you’ve learned in the swimming pool during the
first day.

After
your course you will be certified as an internationally recognized
PADI Scubadiver, but you must at all times dive with a qualified
Divemaster or Instructor to a depth not exceeding 12m.

Your
ticket to the underwater world
Yes, that was amazing…I can’t wait to go for my next dive!!!
Those are most likely the words that you will say after obtaining
your very first diving license.

Remember
when you learned how to drive a car or learned to ski? Do
you still remember your instructor? I thought so too!! The
same goes for diving, it is very important to have a good,
reliable yet fun person at your side that you can trust for
100%. The instructor is the key factor in teaching you everything
you want to know about diving, its techniques, the equipment,
the aquatic life and all the opportunities that lay a head
now.
Small
classes, Big fun
We at “Diving S Cool” realize that you are on holiday and
that you most likely do not want to spend entire days in a
classroom, so we adjust our schedules accordingly for you
or you can start studying right now with the PADI Open Water
course On line! We are flexible in all we do, but we stick
to the standards!

In
order to receive your certification, we ask 3 to four days
of your time.
Advanced

more, achieve better buoyancy, go deeper, dive longer, make
a night dive and so much more other cool stuff? Well the PADI
Advanced Open Water course gives a taste of what is out there
waiting for you to discover.

Five
dives each covering different aspects of diving will be completed
during your 2 days of training. Two of them are mandatory
which are a navigation dive and a deep dive. The other three
dives can be chosen by you in discussion with your instructor
leaving you with the best personal education that you need.
Taste

Emergency
First Response
Learn
to save lives
Hopefully you will never end up in the situation that you
have to save someone’s live. But just in case you end up in
an emergency situation, you will want to be prepared, so you
can offer the best possible help.

This
course is open to divers and non-divers, as saving lives is
not restricted to diving related accidents. Emergency situations
can occur at any location, whether it is at home, work or
on the football field.
The
Emergency First Aid course is a well structured, interesting
and very rewarding course to follow, which will give you comprehensive
training in Primary and Secondary Care.
CPR
and First Aid
During the course you will learn to provide primary care through
a combination of knowledge developments, skill developments
and realistic scenarios practice to make sure that you have
the confidence to provide care when emergency situations arise.
The second part of the course focuses on how you can attend
to injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening.

An
Emergency First Response qualification is valid for 2 years.
You should participate in an EFR Course every 2 years to refresh
your skills and update your qualification.
Rescue
Diver
Safety
in a fun package
Imagine that you are about to climb back onto the boat after
a wonderful dive and you hear screaming behind you. In the
distance you spot a diver who is having problems at the surface.
What to do next?

Well
the rescue diver training will prepare you not only to help
yourself but also the other divers around you. In this 3 to
4 day course we will teach you how to manage, organise and
actually perform diving emergencies. One of the more important
items will be how to recognise stress in divers and therefore
preventing problems from happening in the first place.
Our
Rescue course is especially designed to expose you to problems
and scenarios that you may one day have to deal with. Although
this is a demanding and challenging course, most students
rate it as one of the most rewarding and fun courses that
they have after taken. So no time to waste and give yourself
this extra training that will make you a better and safer
diver!
Oxygen
And First Aid
Providing assistance in dive related accidents requires the
usage of oxygen and basic first aid. The Emergency First Response
course teaches you basic first aid (CPR) and secondary care,
whereas our DAN courses provide you a better insight in the
use of Emergency Oxygen systems.

Non-diving
family members or relatives might be the only people on the
scene of a diving accident, to provide aid in this situation,
basic knowledge of Oxygen systems and First Aid is beneficial.
That is why these courses are also accessible for non-divers.

Enriched
Air Nitrox
Experience
the difference
This is the most popular specialty that divers take these
days and there is a good reason for it!

You’ve
probably experienced it before, that while diving a great
site your computer or dive guide tells you to end the dive
because you’ve reached the no decompression limit. This can
be very frustrating knowing that your tank still contains
plenty of air and that there is still so much to be seen and
explored.
Well,
the PADI Enriched Air Diver course lets you safely extend
your no decompression limits, which means more time underwater
and shorter surface intervals. So you can get back in the
water sooner.
Master
Scuba Diver
The
pinnacle of sport diving
You spend all your leisure time at diving and everything related
with it. Diving is your passion!

You
love every aspect of diving but you do not want to turn it
into a profession, then the PADI Master Scuba diver is the
highest recreational level you can obtain.
Every
dive center, worldwide, recognises this certificate without
any hesitation because a Master Scuba Diver stands for a well
trained and educated diver. Ideally for those who travel a
lot. So no matter where you go, you shouldn’t be afraid to
take on various interesting and challenging dives.
Specialise
and enjoy
In order to become a Master Scuba Diver you should have made
at least 50 logged dives, have the Open Water Diver, Advanced
Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver license and have a minimum
of five Specialties.

Only
if you fulfil all these conditions, you can apply for your
Master Scuba Diver license to PADI and become the best of
the best in recreational diving.
From
now on you can explore the underwater world like never before.
Live the dive lifestyle.

The course takes between three and six weeks to complete,
but tailor made schedules are also possible. During your time
here we offer you a real insight in how a dive shop runs.
You will learn how to prepare, organize and work as a professional
guide and how you can become a valuable assistant to the resident
instructors. They are one of the keystones to your success;
they guide you during your training and will not hesitate
to share their knowledge with you.

The
two main blocks of your training consist of academics and
practical in-water training. We will mix up the academics
and water work so that your education is balanced and that
there is time for you to enjoy the island. After all we are
living the coolest lifestyle out there!!!
Bubblemaker

bearing the fun-factor in mind.
