We can teach you in English, Thai, Swedish, French, German, Dutch and also now in Spanish and Japanese. Our divemasters offer so much more than just being certified and experienced scuba divers, they aim to make every aspect of your diving trip enjoyable, whether it be on the boat, on the beach, or underwater.

Our captains come from the islands themselves. They have been here for so many years that they know all the best places to take us depending on the weather, the waves and the drift during all the seasons of the year.
They are fully licensed.

All our drivers have full driving licenses and are well trained in driving on the roads of the islands. We have a fleet of 5 cars that will pick you up and return you to whatever resort or hotel you are staying in. In the car there is always a non-Thai member of our team to help prevent any problems of communication.

All of our equipment is first class, made by the excellent manufacturers Mares and Scubapro. We change our equipment every year and whatever your size we have equipment that will fit you comfortably. Our dive tanks are the safest, we have them hydrostatically tested every six months. All our boats carry an oxygen supply and a fully stocked medic first aid kit.

Our 6 speed boats have powerfull 400cc engines. They are fully equipped with GPS and Sonar and also have toilets and showers on board for your comfort.

Getting into the water is straightforward and the advantage of diving with speedboats is that we can follow the course of your dive and be waiting nearby for convenience when you surface.

We use these efficient craft as part of our philosophy of spending less wasted time on the surface and thereby maximising your dive or snorkel time in the water.

Our boats carry full licences. They are kept clean and are subject to 3 monthly check-ups on the mainland so that they remain compliant and we are fully satisfied as to the safety of our guests on board

PADI are the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. They exist to develop programs that encourage and fulfill public interest in recreational scuba and snorkel diving worldwide with the aim of being the world leader in the sport.

With 100,000 professional members operating in 175 countries and territories, PADI instructors are the most ethnically, culturally and racially diverse group of dive instructors in the world. This means that the potential diver seeking diver education has a much greater chance of finding a PADI course offered in their country by a person from their own culture and in their own language.

PADI began in 1967. In the 36 years after this we have delivered over 900,000 diving certifications.

Also, PADI foundation encourages and supports underwater science, environmental projects and education. The foundation will fund and assist worthwhile projects that will enrich mankind's understanding of the aquatic environment and encourage sensitivity to and protection of the delicate ecological balance of underwater life.

Night Diving

Koh Samed, Koh Chang, Koh Maak and Koh Kood offer many spectacular, secluded dive sites for you to explore.

At Ploy Scuba Diving we have some of the fastest boats on the islands and we get you to the best places quickly and in comfort.

We offer the full range of recreational diving for divers who have recognized qualifications, including night diving and overnight stays at Resorts on almost deserted islands.

Snorkelling

Your first adventure into the wonders of the deep may be to join one of our diving boats for a day and to spend your time peering down on the coral, fish and other divers. It's a chance to see some of the outlying islands close up too.

It may also be a chance to see what scuba diving is all about and a chance for you to make the decision to take one of our introductory diving courses.

Often you will get a chance to have lunch on a local beach

Whatever you are looking for, a day out snorkelling with us will be a day to remember.

Scuba Diver

One of two "Entry Level" courses (The other is Discover Scuba Diving) designed to get you into the water quickly to both experience scuba diving and let you decide if it's for you.

You will undergo initial classroom training covering the basics of scuba diving and will then make your first dive! An Instructor or PADI certified professional will accompany you under water and teach you the basic fundamentals of scuba diving in a swimming pool.

You will then complete two dives in open water from our diving boats, again accompanied by our PADI Professional.

Most people complete this course in 2 days. Upon certification you are free to dive under the supervision of any Dive Master of higher qualified PADI Professional.

Generally, people undertake this course if they don't have time to complete the full PADI Open Water Diver course because the certification can be credited to the Open Water Diver program.

Discover Scuba Diving

If you have a day free and would like to experience the thrill of weightlessness quickly and in a safe environment, Discover Scuba Diving is for you!

Your day will consist of a trip out on our diving boat. You will spend a short time one-on-one with our PADI certified professional covering the essential safety aspects of your first dive. Then it's gear on and into the water!

You will be accompanied throughout by our PADI certified professional while you go down to the coral and get you first look at the underwater world. You will spend up to 45 minutes amongst the fish, all the time in contact with your PADI professional who is constantly at hand watching and assisting you.

Open Water Diver

Most people start their scuba diving adventure with the PADI Open Water Diver course because once you are certified you can go and dive almost anywhere in the world under certain conditions.

A combination of classroom training, time in a swimming pool understanding the fundamentals and practicing the 18 basics, followed by 4 open water dives from our diving boats, leads to your PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Some people complete the course in three days and some take four. You will need a little time in the evenings to review your course work too.

Adventure Diver

Once you have your PADI Open Water Diver certification, Adventure Diver is a good step forward to consolidate and broaden your knowledge and experience.

You will make three open water dives which you select from a range including Underwater Navigator, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, Deep, Altitude and more. You will add to your classroom based knowledge and will obtain the certification.

Adventure Diver is an intermediate step to the Advanced Open Water Diver certification and generally takes one or two days, depending on your schedule.

Advanced Open Water

Your passport to the safe exploration of the deep, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification allows you to go anywhere and dive. It will earn you respect within the diving community and shows that you have the the skills and ability to be a reliable"diving buddy".

The program, building on your Open Water Diver certification, consists of more classroom education and five open water dives which can be selected from a list of PADI approved diving activities.

At Ploy Scuba Diving you can put together a package with accommodation and combine this course with the Open Water Diver course so that it's possible, in 7/8 days, to become a qualified advanced PADI diver!

Emergency First Response

Your ability to understand and give initial first aid care in the event of an accident can only make you a more rounded and responsible member of the diving community.

You don't need any prior diving training or certification but this 4+ hour program will equip you to assist as a first responder to a diver on the land who is distressed.

Rescue Diver

You are now moving past the basic qualifications in the PADI scuba world. Rescue Diver is the first program on the path to becoming a professional diver but it is also a vital qualification to gain so that you can handle efficiently and quickly, any emergencies which might occur under water.

Over 2 days and 5 dives you will learn the skills of rescue. You will learn both self rescue and rescue of others. You will learn the symptoms of different stress situations so that you can quickly take remedial action.

When you are a PADI certified Rescue Diver and you have built on your diving experience, you are ready to start on the path to becoming a certified PADI Professional Diver.

Dive Master

When you have made around 75 dives and feel ready to make the commitment required of a PADI Professional Diver, Ploy Scuba Diving is an ideal place to become a PADI Dive Master.

We are a busy, professional diving operation with PADI professionals and customers from around the Globe. You will become immersed in an operation which will expose you to the reality of working as a PADI Professional. Our standards and expectations are high and you will work hard to get your PADI Dive Master certification but once qualified, you will have the skills and knowledge to make you a valuable asset to any diving operation.

Koh Chang, Koh Maak and Koh Kood are stunningly beautiful, densely rainforested islands in Trat province in the South East of Thailand.
