Our Boat
WaterWorld will be the only dive company on Koh Chang to use a modified landing craft as their main dive launch. Engineers are busy working on the boat to get it ready for dive use, and it is scheduled for completion in July 2009. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

Typical Dive Day
• Report to the Dive Center or pick-up at your resort between 08:00-08:30
• Board the boat and at leave at 09:00
• Relax, take in the sights, chat and make friends
• Reach the 1st dive site and make the 1st dive
• After the 1st dive, lunch is served
• More relaxing and maybe some snorkeling and sun-bathing
• Move to the 2nd dive site and make the 2nd dive
• When all are accounted for after the 2nd dive we all head home
• Relax, have a coffee, watch the sun setting and take pictures
• The WaterWorld team makes sure that you are happy and have had a good day
• Transfer back to your resort

Depending on the conditions out at sea we will try and determine where to go and which of the dive sites to visit to get most out of the day and more importantly ensure it will satisfy YOU the customer.

"Learn to Dive today"

This little taster is for those who do not have adequate time to complete a full PADI certification but want to try Scuba diving. An Instructor will guide you through some basic diving knowledge followed by several fundamental diving skills in confined water. Each lucky student will then be taken for 2 dives in the beautiful waters around Koh Chang to a maximum depth of 6-12 meters. Afterwards you will be presented with a souvenir 'Certificate of Recognition' to show off to all your friends back home.

Scuba Diver
Have more fun than riding an elephant! Get even wetter than visiting a waterfall!! Over 2 days you will receive instruction and supervision by an Instructor and then complete 2 open water dives. You will be awarded the internationally recognized PADI Scuba Diver certification that allows you to dive anywhere on our blue planet but under the direct guidance of a dive professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

Open Water
Got more time spare? Don't know what to do? Visited all the tourist sites and even learnt to cook a mean Thai green curry!! With the Open Water you get 4 days of intense fun and adventure! The first 2 days are spent in the classroom (hey, classrooms can be fun too!) and confined water, learning the essential skills and knowledge needed for diving. The following 2 days are spent on the boat to complete your 4 open water dives where you implement the training that you have learnt in confined water and apply them to the open sea. Upon completion you will be a recognized PADI Open Water Diver!! The card which lasts a lifetime and never expires! Bring it on your next holiday with your 'buddy' and dive independently of a diving professional to a maximum depth of 18 meters.

Advanced Open Water
Want more? Want to go even deeper? Then do your Advanced Open Water silly! Your Instructor will cram your brain full of diving know-how that you won't know what to do with yourself?? Consisting of 5 dives, 2 dives are mandatory - 1 dive must be a Deep Dive (maximum depth 30m) and the other an Underwater Navigation Dive where you will learn how to use a compass and navigate by natural means. The other 3 dives are up to you! Discuss them with your Instructor as their main aim is to make you a better and more confident diver. Are you ready for the challenge?

Emergency First Response
Seen all the episodes of ER? Are you a budding George Clooney? A prerequisite to becoming a PADI Rescue Diver But is also open to non-divers who want to train in Primary 1st Aid, CPR, Secondary Care and the use of Defibrillators. During this 1 day course and EFR Instructor will guide you through academics, student participation and mock scenarios.

Rescue Diver
Help Wanted!!! Test yourself to the max and actually enjoy it! Conquer, Challenge, Control are the aims. 1 day in the classroom, 2 days in the ocean and a lifetime of achievement. You will learn to organize, search, recover and rescue fellow divers (as well as yourself!) in the unlikely event of diver accidents or emergencies. The final afternoon you will participate in 2 staged rescue scenarios which puts together all that you have learnt into practice. Divemaster
GO PRO!!! This is the first professional rung on the PADI ladder for anyone wishing to make a career in the dive industry. The DMT, or 'Divemaster Trainee' as we affectionately call them, will work as part of an internship with Waterworld Diving. Obtaining free diving (yes, FREE!) whilst learning about dive leading & training, assisting Instructors, watermanship, further education amongst many other skills while having large helpings of fun and excitement at the same time!! Student candidates must have their own equipment, but even if you don't, Waterworld Diving will help you the best way we can - that's a promise! Being in good physical shape is a bonus, so put down that doughnut!! Certification as a DM entitles you to become a PADI member and have access to its worldwide benefits and privileges.

Established in 2003 we are the only dive center on Koh Chang to feature in the Times newspaper in the UK.

Although no longer Belgian owned we still pride ourselves in the safety and welfare of all our customers, from divers to snorkelers, to people who just want to come along on the boat for a fun and relaxing time.

The Motley Crew:
Medz Waterworld’s newly installed dive center manager for 2009!Often mistaken for a Thai, when asked he replies, “No, I’m from Tottenham” (which is in north London UK). Born in the Philippines and raised & educated in London since the age of three, he still doesn't understand where the confusion lies? Maybe, it's his hair?! An instructor for 7 years Medz still gets enormous pleasure from teaching people, young or old, the wonders of scuba and our aquatic world.

Wanpen Full name Wanpen Ngaongam, or just 'Pen' for short! Miss Waterworld as she is affectionately known. The heart of the admistration for the dive center and the keeper of cleaniness in the showroom! Originally from Sakaeo in the east of Thailand, Pen has now been on Koh Chang for over two years and her current role at Waterworld for just under a year. Pen is in the process of pursuing her Open Water certification when time permits!
