About Us
White Sand Dive Centre is a small and friendly dive shop based on the beautiful island of Koh Chang in the Gulf of Thailand.

You know those big corporate dive organisations that bundle up a hundred drivers, throw them info the sea and then take their cash and send them on their way? Well we're not like that. We set up this dive shop becuase we love diving, love people who are passionate about diving and love to see the thrill of excitement on peoples faces when they are learning to dive and discovering the wonders of the sea for the first time.

We're small becuase we like it that way. We want to meet you, get to know you and make sure that we give you a dive experience tailored exactly to your requirments. Our first concern is always our customers and their enjoyment.

Courses
We try offer you the best range of options to help you to decide what dive course is best for you. So we offer a full range of courses from PADI who are the world's number one dive organisation. Remember also that the exchange rate of Thailand's Baht with other currencies makes this a pretty cheap place for you to get your dive training.

So basically we can offer you courses ranging from a one day basic introduction to Scuba through full scuba diving certification and advanced courses all the way to Dive Master and subsequent training that will allow you to turn your hobby into your job.

We also offer fun dives (remember that our courses are fun too!) for those of you who are already qualitie divers. We can help you to pick the best sites to visit. You can night dive with us, go deep, concentrate on photography, navigation, the underwater flora and fauna or just check out what's down there.

PADI eLearning
We are happy to now be able to offer PADI's new e-learning program. This lets you do the academic part of your dive course at home before you come on holiday. Click the eLearning link below for more details!

Diving
I'm Don Bealey, head instructor and part-owner of White Sand Dive Centre. I don't sit down and write very offen, I'd rather be diving, but I wanted to tell you about the diving here in Koh Chang. I've been diving here for eight years and have logged more than 500 dives in these waters so I know the sites and conditions around here better than most. What excites divers the most about the diving around Koh Chang are the underwater rock pinnacles. These off-shore towers range from 5 to 30 meters and allow divers of all experience levels from novice to professional something interesting to see. The gentle currents provide nutrient rich conditions ideal for healthy and dense marine life and there is an abundance of soft and hard corals and beautiful and colorful anemones. These impressive reefs support a wide range of sea-life including Blue-Spotted Stingrays, Moray Eels, Barracuba, Angelfish, Triggerfish and Porcupine Puffer fish which can be seen on almost every dive. It's really colourful down there!

The fairly shallow reefs and calm conditions make Koh Chang a perfect place to have your fist diving experience. If you're already certified there are also plenty of options to further your underwater experiences.

Helping
Your can now fly down here directily from Bangkok in about 50 minutes. There are also a range of buses, minibuses etc. that will bring you here from Bangkok, Pattaya and Cambodia. Just ask us for whatever information and timetables you need.

Our main office is on White Sands Beach. This is the island's widest stretch of sand. There is a whole range of places to stay and when you get out of the water there are plenty of entertainment options from romantic sunset dinners to live music bars and discos. We are based at 15 Palms beach-side restaurant and bar with a full western menu, pool table and live sports. We can easily be persuaded to share a post-dive drink or two with you here. The Palm Garden Hotel offers good value rooms with TV and air-conditioning. We will be happy to book a room for you so you don't have any accommodation hassles on arrival.

When you're not diving you can lounge on the beach or do a whole range of interesting exploring, riding, climbing, driving activities. We will be happy to point you in the right direction.
