The Siam Beach Minibus Service

The Siam Beach Koh Chang minibus service ( http://www.siambeachresort.in.th/private-minibus-services.html ) is only available to passenger that hold a confirmed reservation for and will travel to either the Siam Beach Resort or Siam Bay Resort on Koh Chang, in part due to the heavily subsidized fare of only 4500 baht / car/ way (as of Jan. 2010). There are currently just 3 of these minibuses available, so reserve on time.

The Bangkok Airport Limousine Service

Smaller parties (1-2 persons) may prefer to travel the approximately 5 hours from the Airport to Koh Chang in a private, chauffeur driven Bangkok airport limousine ( http://www.limousine.in.th ). This website also offers Minibus transfers for people that do not stay in the Siam Beach or Siam Bay Resort.

If you can find a good connection, flying to Trat airport can potentially reduce your travel time to the island to just a couple of hours. Rates are obviously high and the time savings only compensate for that if your international flight lands between 1.5 and 2.5 hours prior to departure of the domestic flight to Trat.
