of the 20 m Sailing Yacht TALEA in the Gulf of Thailand.
Here you will find good sailing conditions.
Since
decades I sail in the Gulf of Thailand. The Yacht I constructed
myself and it is in top condition.
In
the south-east of Thailand are exceedingly beautiful islands
in crystal clear water, with romantic bays, white and sandy
beaches.
Whether
you are a sailor or just want to spend some time on a sailing
yacht, this will be a wonderful experience.
The TALAE has 3 spacious, private cabins, with a large saloon
to give you all the comfort you can wish for your sailing
trip. A variety of delicious Thai food alternates with western
Dinner.
This
attractive 6 days - 5 nights cruise ensures you of a dream
holiday you will remember for a lifetime.
Program
of the 6 days sailing tour in the Koh Chang archipelago
Sailing
trip Day 1
After pick up and transfer to the yacht, at 9am we sail
south in to the Koh Chang archipelago. Our first destination
is Koh Wai.
The
guests are always surprised by the beauty oft this island.
On the blue water, You can see the dark line of a coral
reef. Behind in the light green water is a white sandy beach.
Along the beach Palm trees leaning over the sea. There is
plenty of time to swimming and snorkelling for we stay over
night.
Sailing
trip Day 2
The
next morning we sail further south to Koh Mak. Close to the
island Mak is the small island Kam.
This
is one of the most beautiful locations in the whole archipelago.
As soon as we are around the reef, everybody takes pictures
of the splendid view. Out of the blue green water and the
white sand, heads of black lava stones are rising above
the shallow water.
A
white sand dune reaches out to the sea. In the background
we can see the silhouettes of the palm trees against the
blue sky. In the evening we anchor in a bay of Koh Mak.
Sailing
trip Day 3
We
sail east to Koh Rang. This island is not inhabited. At the
northern end are small islands and stones rising above the
water. This is a famous dive and snorkelling spot in the
archipelago.
Since
it is a large area, we can always find a spot away from
the crowd. Here we spend the night in the solitude of the
islands. Because of the clear air we can see the shining
sparkling stars and the bright light of the moon.
Sailing
trip Day 4
After
breakfast we are sailing east to the island Rayang. Next
to the rock formation, there is a white sandy beach, which
invites for swimming. Behind the rock is a coral reef for
snorkeling.
We
sail further to the southern bay of Koh Mak, where we also
stay overnight. From here we can explore t5he island, with
a magnificent few over the northern and southern bay of
Koh Mak.
Sailing trip Day 5
We
are sailing south to the small island Bai Dang, for swimming
and snorkeling.
For
Lunch we stop at Koh Chang, in the bay of Ban Wai Chaeck.
There is a white sandy beach. A small river flows to the
sea, forming a laguna with mangrove forests. At high tide
we can explore the laguna wit our small boat.
In
the afternoon we are sailing to the -- Island Few Resort
--, located at Koh Chang, in the Bay oif Salak Pet. The Restaurant
above the sea, facing the islands with a beautiful few..
Here we have our captains dinner. At this event we can reflect
on our past sailing holidays and also stay overnight.
Sailing
trip Day 6
After
a good night sleep, in the quiet water of the bay, we sail
out to the sea again, to the island of Klum for swimming
and snorkeling. Here we also can find sea shells and odd
shaped stones to remember our sailing trip. We will disembark
in the afternoon.
This
is a relaxing trip full of new experiences you will not
forget.
The
program can change depending on the prevailing weather.

TALAE
- The Yacht
The sailing yacht TALEA was constructed by its owner/skipper
and was completed in 2002.
Her
hull is made from steel and the deck is from wood.
She
has been designed for high stability and is very seaworthy.
In rough seas you still feel comfortable on board.
The
spacious aft deck has a build in BBQ grill.
The
large foredeck has confortable deck chairs, which
can also be used during the sail. A canvas cover can
be drawn for shade.
A
wide stair gives access to a platform for swimming.
The
keel of 8 to is fully withdrawable into the hull to
allow anchoring in shallow waters near the islands.
The
handling of the sails, anchors, and winches are serviced
by oil-hydraulics, from the saloon.

Sailing
and living on board of the Talae
The interior of the yacht has a lot of space to move
easy and to relax for sailors of all ages.
You
can also walk around the Yacht secured by a strong
rail. The large fordeck has comfortable deck chairs,
wich can be used also during the sail. A canvas can
be drawn for shade. All rooms and entrances have a
height of min. 1.95 m. The entire interior is of light
colored wood giving a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Each
cabin has a ceiling hatch and a window which can be
opened for the flow of fresh air through the cabin.
You have a choice to sleep in the cabin. Or on the
large deck under the canvas cover.
Everywhere
on the islands is crystal clear water and always an
opportunity to go down the platform and ladder to
swim around the boat.
In
the night time we anchor in a romantic bays with the
sky full of brightly shining stars.
After
breakfast we set sails to the next island to relax
on the beach or to snorkel over the nearby coral reefs.
Thai
food are served at lunchtime. In the evening we arrive
at a quiet bay and at sundown we have our dinner.
The
large front deck, saloon and aft deck have enough
space to party, but there is also room for people,
who like privacy. Due to the automatic controls the
crew consists only of 2 person.
A

Dates
and Prices
The trip starts every Monday,
from 2. nd November, till 26th of April.
The
sailing trip runs over 6 days and five nights, between
the islands of the Koh chang archibelago.
The
guests usually stay in a Resort/Hotel on the west
coast of Koh Chang, where they will be picked up and
transferred to the yacht. The Transfere is included
in the price.
If
you like to move on after the trip, you can go (day
6,Satuday, before noon) by speedboat from Koh Mak,
to the harbour on land, where you can find busses
and also an airline to all destinations. The transfere
by speedboat would be then included in the price.
According
to your request, also other routes can be arranged.
Price:
Cost
sharing for the cruise of 6 days and 5 nights is Euro
560. - per person in a double cabin.
One
of the 3 cabins is slightly larger with separate shower
and toilette. This cabin can be booked for an additional
price of Euro 50.- for the trip.
Included
are boarding, non alcoholic drinks, transfer from
Hotel at Koh Chang and back. Children under 12 years
of age have 50 % discount staying in the cabin of
their parents.
Minimum
participation are 2 person.

The
Territory
The Gulf of Thailand is not well known amongst
sailors. There are many islands in the blue
waters of the south-east with white beaches
and romantic bays inviting to anchor. Especially
to mention are the islands of the Chang Archipelago.
Koh
Chang is the second largest island in Thailand.
On the west side beaches are bungalows and also
five star hotels. Near to the south are more
than 30 islands. Some are not inhabited and
are not on the routes of tourists. The larger
islands are covered with coco plantations and
have simple holiday resorts.
